Meet us near Katakolon port and tour will start with first stop Olympia. It will take around 30 mins to get from the port to Olympia.

Archaeological Site of Olympia
Explore the Olympia site and museum.The visit to Olympia site and museum takes approximately 2 hours where you will get familiarized with the history of ancient Olympia and the magnificent of the olympic games heritage. You will also have the chance to walk to the Olympia stadium and see the Zeus temple along with all museum artifacts that witness the magnificent Olympia history and culture.Exploration within Olympia site will be on your own (Guidebook is available - Licensed guide within Olympia is not included and is available, with additional fee, upon request from the customer)

Awesome Visit to Olympia

Our tour guide, Charris (pronounced Harris), was awesome! He planned a great day for us, from Olympia, to a winery, to snacks and drinks on the coast (beautiful location and view), before heading back to our cruise ship. We also booked the VR glasses at Olympia separately (Charris could not go in with us), which made the Olympia visit a lot of fun. Also, great museum at Olympia. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Theodore took wonderful care of us!! He recommended seeing the ancient city for an hour and then taking an hour to experience the museum! Perfect timing! He took us to a quaint & personal winery where we heard their history and ate The Most Delicious lunch along with their amazing wines! A toe dip in the Ionian sea before shopping within walking distance to the ship!
The only suggestion might be a bigger vehicle as it was cozy.

This was our only private tour out of 7 ports on our Greek cruise out of Rome. Our group of friends (8 of us total) requested this tour because our cruise line did not provide any tours for us to choose from at this port (Katakolon) which ended up being a blessing in disguise. It was fantastic to have our own mini-van for just the 8 of us. The tour company was very communicative with all of my questions prior to our trip, and they were on time and specific where to meet on the port on the day of the tour. Fantastic communication which was a concern for me because we were touring a foreign country in which none of us knew the language. We were able to spend a little more time shopping in Olympia which is what we asked for because all of our other tours prior to this never allowed enough time for shopping. More time at the beach would have been nice, but we did ask for more time shopping so that was expected.
Fantastic tour all around. It was probably the best tour we had on our trip; maybe because it was just for the 8 of us and we didn't waste any time waiting for slow people we didn't know.
Good Transportation Service But Little Else

Theodore was our driver and he was prompt and very pleasant. However, I think to label this service as a shore excursion is a bit of a misnomer. Again, the driver was pleasant, but that is really all he was - a driver. I would have expected to receive more guidance from a shore excursion and there was very little guidance provided.
The driver got us promptly to Olympia and promptly picked us up two hours later. He provide a guide book and that was it. We then suggested to go the beach and he dropped us at a hotel that had access to the beach, where we basically walked down to the shore and then back to the car because there was not any additional information provided. Lastly, we said let's skip the winery and take us to a good seafood restaurant and he took us back to a restaurant that was by the port. Our excursion then ended there.
We then ate and walked the shops of the port.
So in summary, this is really transportation and not what one would expect in the traditional sense of a shore excursion. Again, the driver was very pleasant but this isn't much of a shore excursion.

Our driver was 30 minutes late. She wouldn’t admit being late until she finally checked her email and realized she was wrong on the timing. She did provide a lot of history of the area.
